Well, it started off as a simple sketch - it was 1:30 in the morning ... insomnia had struck.. and I decided (finally, after almost 4 hours) that instead of lying in bed counting the cracks on my ceiling, why not draw something to take away my time?
and so I did - I took out my "Wonders of Wildlife" calendar and flipped to a random page, and thought, "oh, how cute!"
I guess it didn't turn out so bad in the beginning.
A few weeks later, after I got my scanner fixed, I decided to scan it and do some photoshop touchups.
How was I supposed to know that my mom would throw away my calendar - hence, throwing my only photo reference for this???!
at the end, I've decided this is as far as I can get (most of it was done anyway with the ref) before totally screwing up the picture. I used other photo references of a grey wolf off the net to get it more accurate.
oh well.

This is one of my first few attempts with a wacom tablet...... O_o.....urgh.
done with a good ol' HB pencil and ps7w/tablet
